Fishbowl Advanced

Fishbowl Advanced is Fishbowl’s on-premises warehouse management system (WMS) and inventory-tracking software.

It is designed to streamline warehouse and manufacturing processes and boost efficiency. For example, warehouse staff can scan items with mobile devices and update stock levels in real time, reducing paperwork. The system also offers optional cloud hosting (a hosted deployment mode) for remote access.

Fishbowl Advanced can be accessed via web browsers or mobile apps, enabling on-the-go management. (The older “Fishbowl Anywhere” mobile module has been replaced by these cloud/mobile tools.)

Key features

• Real-time inventory & multi-location management: Tracks inventory across all sites with live updates. Supports barcode scanning (using Wasp/Zebra scanners) to increase accuracy.
• Sales & order management: Includes order entry, invoicing, purchase orders, and receiving. It links e-commerce and POS sales to inventory (for example, online orders automatically update stock and pricing). It also handles kitting (product bundling) and pricing.
• Manufacturing: Supports bill of materials (BOM), work orders, and material requirements planning (MRP). Labor tracking and cost reporting tie production steps to inventory.
• Fulfillment & shipping: Manages order fulfillment from picking to packing. The system tracks shipments and returns (RMAs) and offers pick-and-pack workflows to streamline warehouse operations

Fishbowl Advanced connects with many business applications to keep data in sync:

• Accounting: Integrates with major accounting platforms like QuickBooks (Online, Desktop, and Canada) and Xero. Inventory and financial records update together automatically.
• CRM & EDI: Connects to CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and EDI partners (e.g., SPS Commerce) to sync customer and order information.
• E-commerce: Supports popular commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and others. Sales orders from online stores link directly to inventory.
• Shipping/logistics: Works with carriers and shipping solutions – for example, UPS Ready (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and  Endicia. Fishbowl can print shipping labels and track shipments within the same system.
• Hardware & payments: Compatible with barcode and mobile hardware (Wasp, Zebra scanners, Android/iOS devices). Integrates with payment/merchant services (e.g., Authorize.Net for credit card processing and point-of-sale (POS) systems to automate sales transactions.
